The Outdoor Recreation Club (ORC) offers student led outdoor activities that include group hiking, camping, backpacking, canyoneering, cross-country skiing, back-country skiing, cycling, kayaking, ice climbing and rock climbing. During block breaks and spring break, ORC offers at least one off-campus trip.

Gear House:
Outdoor equipment may be rented from the Ahlberg House located on Weber behind the Greek houses. The Gear House's address is 1024 N. Weber St. Say hi to whoever is working. Chances are, they need company.
FOOT Trips:
The ORC runs the FOOT Program (First Year Outdoor Orientation Trips) during the first block break of every year. Student leaders and pro guides take first-year students on backpacking trips all ovah the state!
Leader Training: The ORC Leadership Training Program gives students the opportunity to learn, use and teach an array of important outdoor skills. Training in both hard skills and soft skills enables students to then plan and lead a diversity of unlimited trips through the ORC.

The ORC is open to all students, regardless of previous outdoor experience. The ORC meets the first three Tuesdays of every block at 12:15 in the WES Room. All are welcome! |
